Despite the cold winter weather, more than 1,300 attendees braved the chill to attend this year’s Chinese American Lunar New Year Gala. The atmosphere was festive and joyful as everyone gathered to celebrate. From traditional and modern dances, martial arts, Chinese folk music and Western instruments, folk singing, magic performances, stand-up comedy, to cheongsam fashion showcases—this gala seamlessly blended Eastern and Western arts. The diverse and innovative programs, coupled with highly professional performances, offered overseas Chinese a heartwarming taste of their homeland’s Spring Festival traditions. For many local American guests, it was also a rare opportunity to experience one of the most significant and culturally rich celebrations in Chinese tradition—a grand festival deeply cherished in the hearts of Chinese people worldwide.
